OUR PARTICIPATION
Seminar “Cooperation between the Museum and schools in spiritual and moral education of pupips” for deputy principals on educational work of the Pushkino district schools. (Page 2)
In Sofrino School ¹ 1 museum education started with a visit to the school museum, created with the help of the workers of the Sergiev Posad Museum. In the school museum the children got acquainted with museum culture and local history. The museum exhibits were used at the lessons. The participants of the seminar saw the program dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The guests attended the program for the first-class pupils, which started with a talk “What is a museum” in Class 1B and ended in Class 1A, where the children, playing a game, demonstrated their knowledge and skills, acquired at four previous lessons. The game was demonstrated by a leading research worker of the Sector of the Museum Pedagogic Kruglova T.I. The lessons for the pupils of the second and third classes demonstrated the Museum programs “Miraculous Transformations”, presenting handicrafts, and “Az and Buki”, dedicated to Old Russian alphabet. The pupils started with the Museum expositions and classes and the final lesson was conducted by the teachers together with the Museum workers.
The variety of programs for the 5th – 8th class pupils was represented by the game “The Trinity Defense”, prepared for the 400th anniversary of the heroic defense of the Trinity-St. Sergius Monastery during the Time of Troubles. The game was preceded by the children’s visits to the Museum and their individual discovery of additional material. As the result, the final lesson was a success.
13 programs, demonstrated at the Seminar, prove that favorable cooperation between the Museum and School reveals and develops creative abilities of the children. Excursions play another extremely important role – they help to prepare children for real life, provide certain experience in social communication, “help a child to get interested in the whole world and decide how to grasp and comprehend it”.
