In December 9, the Sergiev Posad Museum-Reserve and Sofrino School ¹ 1 organized the seminar “Cooperation between the Museum and schools in spiritual and moral education of pupils” for deputy principals on educational work of the Pushkino district schools. The Museum and School ¹ 1 had developed a well-balanced system of inter-active classes, excursions, lectures, events. The pupils of this school are our permanent visitors.
The seminar, held in Sofrino school ¹ 1, was opened with speeches of School Director Filatova E.I. and Museum Deputy General Director for educational work Mitrofanova E.N. Then, the guests were divided into groups and got acquainted with different forms of cooperation between the Museum and School ¹ 1.
Excursions and other forms of presentation of the Museum collections are principal and compulsory elements of educational process and extra-curricular work. The Museum follows the principle: “ in education you should start not with a discussion of an object, but with its real examination” – stated by a famous pedagogue Ya. Kamensky.
The methods of the Museum work are
- preparation for the visit to the Museum;
- work in the Museum;
- reinforcement of learning and impressions.
