4. The Museum Feast for the first class pupils “Let’s Make Friends!” (page 2)
After the excursions the first-class pupils were ceremonially declared “The Museum Friends!”. Every pupil received a sketch-book, a badge and a pen with the Museum logotype and the name of the event, and a guest invitation for the excursion “On the Makovets Hill”. The invitation ticket contained a homework – a drawing “My first visit to the Museum” which was to be prepared for the second visit. The first visit ended with a festive treat.
The next stage was the excursion “On the Makovets Hill” presenting the architectural ensemble of the Trinity-St. Sergius Monastery. The excursion was in a form of a dynamic talk considering the peculiarity of the children’s age: their impulsiveness, curiosity, mobility.
There was also an interesting meeting of the Art School pupils of Sergiev Posad with the artist Yu. Leonov at the exhibition “ Remote and Near by Countries”. In November 3 and 4, the children saw the exhibition “My First Visit to the Museum” of their home-work drawings. At the end of the program there was a concert of the creative groups of the Palace of Culture named after Yu. A. Gagarin and the pupils of Children’s Musical School ¹ 1 of Sergiev Posad.
The program “Let’s Make Friends!” is a part of the Museum regular work with the educational establishments. It is believed to promote different forms of the Museum cultural and educational activity: cycles of lectures and excursions, festive programs, clubs, - and make them useful for junior pupils and their teachers through the whole school year. The Museum atmosphere helped to reveal the children’s creative abilities. At each stage the pupils carried out tasks at the exhibitions, filled the blanks in the creative paper sheets and produced collective compositions. Visiting different displays and exhibitions the first-class pupils could perceive the Museum as a place where they enjoyed to learn, as an interesting place worthy to make friends with.
