The exhibition of the children’s drawings In October 27, 28, 29 the third stage of the program “Let’s Make Friends” was held in the Main Building of the Sergiev Posad Museum. By that time the exhibition “My First Visit to the Museum” had been prepared. At the entrance the children were received by Buffoon and Punch who they had met before. Together with the organizers they showed the exhibition to the children and checked the homework ( the answers to the questions and the crossword) done by the pupils and their parents.

Chief of the Fine Art Department I.F. Zhdanova telling the children about the pictures of G. Chistyakova-Gorevaya Then, following Muse’s prompts everybody entered the hall where they saw the exhibition “Poesy of Painting” presenting works of the Sergiev Posad painter G.L. Chistyakova-Gorevaya. The children learnt how a picture was created, what could be depicted in it, what kind of assistants an artist had, what realistic and abstract painting was.

    The game “Will you guess?”

The games helped to master the material. The children were given fragments and asked to find the pictures. The game “Will you guess?” helped to remember the objects depicted in the picture or colors in the abstract compositions. Besides, the children met the painter and asked her about the pictures they saw at the exhibition, about painting in general. They wondered how one could become an artist.

The first-class pupils with presents The program ended in an extraordinary way. For the first time in the Museum practice the children created a picture without the traditional materials. They painted and colored a computer rainbow.
