OUR PARTICIPATION
First International Tourist and History Exhibition “Castles, Kremlins and Palaces”
In February 18 – 21, 2010, the Museum took part in the first international tourist and history exhibition “Castles, Kremlins and Palaces”. The main task of the exhibition was to develop specialized tours of the historical places of Russia, Europe and Asia. The organizers of this project were the International Exhibition Center “Crocus- Expo” and “Rusexpoterra” Limited Company, supported by the Ministry for Culture of the Russian Federation, Federal Agency for Tourism and Ministry for Culture of the Moscow Region. “The Moscow Kremlin” Museum –Reserve was a project partner.
Over 40 organizations – museums, tourist companies, hotels, association of the hotel-castles of Hungary, association of the castles and museums around the Baltic Sea, promotion and information agencies, etc. presented their materials. The stand of our Museum, dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the heroic defense of the Trinity-St. Sergius Monastery, was included in the “Spiritual Heritage” section.
The exhibition involved a comprehensive cultural program, including master-classes of painting, woodwork, ceramics, conducted by the students of the Abramtsevo Art and Industry College named after V.M. Vasnetsov; battle reconstructions, performed by the members of historical clubs, and music played on ancient instruments.
Our Museum, like many other participants, organized a presentation of the collections and educational and cultural programs. Deputy General Director for Educational Work E.N. Mitrofanova spoke at the presentation. Senior research worker T.I. Kruglova demonstrated a historical game “The Trinity Defense”, offered as a new form of activity by the Department of Educational and Cultural Programs.
