In March 15 – 18, 2008, the 3d International Tourist Exhibition “Intour-Market - 2008” was organized at “The Crocus-Expo” exhibition hall. The organizers were the Russian companies “EXPOTOUR” and “EUROEXPO”. The event was declared the main tourist exhibition officially supported by the Federal Agency on Tourism of the Russian Federation and other federal services and professional organizations contributing to the development of the tourist industry in Russia.

In fact, the exhibition is a kind of Russian alternative of the 15th “MITT” exhibition, organized practically at the same time in the Expo center. According to the statistics, the number of the participants and visitors of the “Intour Market” is growing every year. In 2008, there participated regions displaying a complex development of the tourist infrastructure.

The Sergiev Posad Museum together with other museums of the Moscow Region (“Melikhovo”, “Borodino”, P.I. Chaikovsky Museum in Klin, Zvenigorod History and Art Museum) participated at the invitation of the Ministry of Tourism of the Moscow Region. Our stand was colorful and interactive. For the first time the workers of the education service together with the Information and Publishing Department prepared for the exhibition a booklet with the information about the exhibitions and excursions (the project manager – Ustimenko V.T., texts – Belyakova N.A., Naumova S.G., Ofitserova O.V., illustrations – Morozov K.N., design and printing – Vasiliev S.Yu.).

The exhibition proved that the Museum should take part in such events and organize monitoring, as some tourist firms did not know anything about various forms of the Museum work with visitors.
