Works of artists of Zagorsk - Sergiev Posad the subsequent period (1960-1990th) are more numerous in the collection of the museum and are more various under the is figurative-stylistic decisions. 1960-1970th is a stage of active development of the national and world cultural heritage, which has served to development the original picturesque-plastic qualities in creativity by I.T.Sandyrev, A.N.Orlov, E.P.Zhuruhin, S.K.Goncharov. The line of innovations has connected with names of these remarkable masters in the city fine arts. Development of primordially-russian heritage of Palex painting schools, A.A.Deyneka's lessons have made the big impact on formation of creative individuality of E.P.Zhuruhin (1929-2001).

A.N. Orlov (1922-2001) – the recognized master of picturesque compositions (landscape, abstract, compositions-still-lifes), magnificent colorist – was one of the most talented, original artists of our city in 1960-1990th. Its constant creative search has directed on working out colorictic and composite fundamental principles of painting, problems of "philosophy" of color and color harmony.

The creativity of the Deserved artist of Russia I.T. Sandyrev (1932-2002) has filled by the aspiration to comprehension of a heritage of Old Russian and world art. Ivan Sandyrev was the brilliant master of composite cloths, "composer" in painting. The reconsideration of the medieval icon painting, the Renaissance and other sources melted by the author in own stylistics, accordant to his world of "ideal images», has put in structure of picturesque language of Sandyrev. The museum collection totals more than ten Sandyrev’s works of different years and the different genres, which allows estimate scale of creativity of this not ordinary artist.

Creativity of S.K.Goncharov (1940-2003) - one of the few in a city of representatives of "informal art» 1960-1970th, the artist, the philosopher and the poet - is presented in museum most full. Fifty-two works has presented by the author to a museum in 1997 (the extremely rare in modern practice an example of donation of the whole collection, the best works). They reflect all his way into art from 1960th to second half 1990th. Stanislaw Goncharov belonged to number of those painters, which are very sensitive to new style tendencies, can safely change the manner, master new technicians and, simultaneously, keep fidelity to the theme in art.

The maturity of art search, aspiration to connect traditional picturesque experience with avant-guard experiments – this is lines of creativity of S.Goncharov and variety of artists of a city concerning generation of 1970-1980th. Postmodernist, vanguard tendencies became a logic link in development of art of Sergiev Posad. Therefore inclusion in a collection of the modern fine arts of a museum of products of such authors, as V.Petrov, A.Garunov, V.Artyomov, V.Sandyrev, whose creativity to close known directions and currents of the newest European and Russian painting (to surrealism, abstraction, an expressionism) was natural.

Among the masters of average generation, fruitfully working with 1970 - 1980th mainly in a genre of the landscape and developing traditions of Russian realistic landscape school, are such artists, as E.G. Zaharov and V.M. Sekret. Their landscapes have not common expression, which characterizes high degree of a maturity of talent. Eugene Zaharov constantly, with the big love writes panoramas and corners of the city - Zagorsk-Sergiev Posad. His canvases have filled, and sometimes have overflowed by emotional agitation and uneasiness.

V.Sekret's canvases are resisted its steadiness, silent lyrics, chambers to romanticized, monumental E. Zaharova's landscapes. The city, Volga and the French landscapes of this master are distinguished «by lyrical intonation, author's sensation of harmony with world around and an undisguised admiring is habitual-daily pictures of the nature» Such V. Sekret’s pictures are most successful, in which has reproduced transition conditions of the nature. They had written in an "impressionist" manner, allowing transfer thin scale of feelings and atmosphere of the nature surrounding us.
